The opening of thriller Dexter inspired me and gave me and my fellow group members inspiration for our thriller.The usage of editing and certain camera shots emphasised Dexters morning routine and made it seem like something worse than what it was.Dexter uses usual morning activities to make it seem like a gruesome horror just in the opening.This was done by the usage of close ups and extreme close ups of things that would be normal but when put into certain camera shots combined with editing techniques it is made to seem like something different.
There are certain aspects of Dexter that may be featured in our thriller such as the idea of him getting ready or doing a routine etc and using that normality of getting ready to create suspense and intrigue ,alarm and engage the audience.
