Audience: Age

I started to look at the age certificates on some well known thrillers:

I found that, although not all, the majority of thrillers have the certificate of 15 or 18. This is manly because they may contain strong language, sex or violence. This could also explain why thrillers tend not to do so well in the box office, as there is less of an audience available.
