Our main themes for our thriler is 'hidden identity' and 'sexuality'. To present this we used costume and props to display these themes.
The tight pencil skirt and smart shirt and heels represents Character 1 (Ruby) as she is a sexy secret assassin and outlines her femininity.
Our working title was Alisha. but while editing our film we came across the use of the colour RED. At that moment our Media Teacher Mary suggested said the colour red reminded her of a Ruby stone. In the lesson we suggested that we should name our secret assassin Ruby as the whole story is based around her.
The ruby stone connotes something precious and something that should not be toiled with. Our secret assassin is someone who knows what she is doing and should not be messed around with. The red lipstick, passports and wine all connote danger sexuality and love. All of this is incorporated in our opening and is what our entire story is based around. She uses love to deceive and lure her men in. Therefore it is used as a contrast to the conventional meaning of love.
